BUTTERNUT SQUASH SOUP
Ingredients (For 4 people)
How to cook
1. Cut a butternut squash and ½ onion in cube.
2. Bake the butternut squash, onion and the unpeeled garlic at 200℃ for 20 minutes.
3. Before putting the baked ingredients, water and milk into a blender, boil them in the pot on high.
4. Lastly, season the soup with “oh!dashi”! Ready to serve!
When you think about the world peace, it is more ideal to start from the daily bases and it is important to create the hearty meals that we can share regardless of religion, belief, diet preference as well as conserving our environment. All can be possible if we use “oh!dashi”.
When thinking about fall, I think about butternut squash. Its smooth and creamy puree once cooked is perfect for soup and pie and I cook a lot when it’s season. For the soup instead of adding broth, I use “oh!dashi” which gives deep and rich umami aroma.
